Q.

Why do you DNA test your dogs?

A.

DNA testing is the only way to know the genetics of our breeding dogs in relation to genetic diseases, coat traits, colours etc. Knowing this allows us to select the best breeding pairs to ensure our pups will have the perfect coat type with low shedding and teddy bear looks AND will not develop any of the testable genetic diseases.

Q.

How do you select your breeding dogs?

A.

Each Waterhill Dog has passed our rigorous selection process before they are used for breeding including

  1. Temperament tests
  2. Health tests including heart and patellas,
  3. Size, colour, coat type and conformation
  4. DNA testing

Our parent dogs are friendly, loving, happy dogs that live as members of our family.
